This page is the brainchild of myself and Cliff Drezek, of Green Lawns Plus, Inc. (in Marlboro). Cliff suggested that lawn care might be an important piece to the nature, weather, astronomy, and science oriented "Todd Space" blogs. After reading his recommendations for lawn care at this time of year, who can disagree?
I will also be posting other important information as the season progresses. Please feel free to contact me at toddwx@yahoo.com with any suggestions you may have in the months ahead to make for a great outdoor environment. NOTE: Radar is in the sidebar left. There is also some ads and information in the sidebar that pertains to lawn and landscape care.

Todd,
I think the "lawn info" is a great addition to the site. Thank you.
I would like to suggest the addition of more specific animal/rodent control such as wood chucks, etc.
Thanks,
LJ

Todd,
Having a weather and lawn/garden page is a dream come true. I was so hoping you would be able to add a page like this one. Great info - as always - already! Will definitely look forward to coming here, often, for any new info and tips. I am trying to get my lawn and roses back into decent shape from the winter plus all the dry weather and am planning to plant some bushes and garden soon.

Great site. This is my worst year of Red Thread in 3 years of having a lawn. I know you can fertilize the lawn to keep the damage at bay, but knowing our weather the next phase is high humidity, which in turn would lead to brown patch in the presence of N.
This year I am trying to do just 2 fertilizings, though I am thinking about spreading some cornmeal for weed control and slow release N.
I wish I could water per your recommendation. I am sure I am not alone in the New England region, with a lawn on a slope and with areas of ledge, which dry out fast. I put down water every day in the early AM and a couple of zones in the midday. All contrary to popular opinion, but it works and so far it is the only method works for me.
Anyway, thanks again for another great site, Todd and co.
