I receive a magazine that might be a good link to add to this page. It's called Birds ans blooms. It's easy to follow and it's very child friendly. You can go to www.birdsandblooms.com

I get that same magazine! Very "user" friendly on a wide range of birding topics. Thank you for the link.

John
Looks like it will be a great blog. I would love to know how to attract different birds to my yard.

Thank you Trisha! Tomorrow I will have an article on different types of food to use to attract a wide variety of birds. Future articles will cover other aspects of attracting different kinds of birds.

Hi John,
I am really enjoying your birding blog. I am new to birding. I put up my first bird feeder this fall and loved it so much that now I have three!
Do you have any suggestions for keeping a woodpecker off the house and on the feeder? I love watching the woodpeckers but don't enjoy hearing them in the morning or having them eventually knock down my house!
Also, I live on Cape Cod, near a marsh. Do you have any suggestions for attracting the most variety of birds?
Thanks and, again, I really enjoy your articles!

Hi John,
Thanks so much for sharing your birding knowledge with us. I am really enjoying all of your articles, and have learned quite a bit already.
For the first time since I have been here, I have a couple of beautiful cardinals this year - not sure why, but I hope they stay.
Looking forward to your next post.
