Turns out, in order for you to have any success at all for your web page, whether it be a public service web page, or something you would like to have advertised, you need to have it listed high in the rankings of search engines such as MSN, Yahoo, and of course, Google. Search Engine Optimization, or SEO is the term used to describe the techniques to get your page higher up in the list when a keyword is put into the search box, such as the box on the side of this page. From the use of meta tags, to using specific keywords, there is a whole mini industry forming (which I really don't understand very well) that helps you get your page listed above others of the same topic, thereby getting more traffic. That is what SEO is all about. There are whole websites devoted to SEO and individuals who are out there to get your website higher in rank. As an example, Massachusetts resident Jill Whalen has a legitimate business devoted to this at highrankings.com.
Hi Todd,
A key factor in SEO ranking is topic relevant backlinks. Your site would do very well with links from your weather watcher sites. One note though, one way backlinks are best. What this means is to have links pointing to your site and not a link back to them.
All The Best,
Mike

Im shocked ! Thanks Mike. I had no idea about one-way links. I knew that the more links you drawer towards your page, the better off you are in rank.
